Breaking Bad star Mike Batayeh has died at the age of 52, after suffering a heart attack in his sleep.
His family said the actor, who played Dennis Markowski – the manager at Gustavo’s laundromat in three episodes of the show from 2011-2012, died suddenly on June 1. TMZ.
The actor died while at his home in Michigan, where his sister, Diane, told the publication he had no history of heart problems.
A family statement about his death read: “He will be sorely missed by those who loved him and his great ability to bring laughter and joy to so many.”
Al-Bataeh is supported by his five sisters and many nephews and nephews.
The Lavandería Brillante industrial laundry operated by Batayeh’s character was a front for the meth lab used by Walter White (Bryan Cranston) and Jesse Pinkman (Aaron Paul.)
Al-Bataeh was a native of Detroit and resides in Los Angeles.
He has appeared in several notable shows including Everybody Loves Raymond, The Shield, and Sleeper Cell.
His film work has included roles in American Dreams, Gas, American East, Don’t Mess With The Zohan, and Detroit Unleaded.
He’s also been a successful comedian and voiceover artist (including 2014’s X-Men: Days of Future Past) and has appeared on CSI: Miami and Boy Meets World.
He was part of the first wave of Western comedies to perform for local audiences in the Middle East in places such as Dubai, where he filmed a comedy special for Showtime.
His latest on-screen role is included in the 2018 TV movie, Prank of America where he played Nacho.
His latest Instagram post was on May 24 and it showed the actor doing comedy.
