The final scene of Season 4 shows Daniel reuniting with his former rival Chosen, in the hopes that together they can defeat Silver. After the debut of the fourth season, Cobra KaHayden Schlossberg, the content creator, spoke with ComicBook.com and explained what this surprise appearance for Season 5 could mean.

“And so, the fact that at the end of season four, things are worse than they ever were,” he continued. “Cobra Kai is more popular than ever, being enjoyed by Terry Silver in full force and Daniel is supposed to have to shut down Miyagi Do. When you think about it from Daniel’s perspective, what does he have to come back from with this?”
