Developing countries need more financial resources and fiscal space. Reforming the global financial architecture is crucial to unlocking the volume of capital needed to stimulate sustainable development.
  2. Peace and Security: As of May 2024, nearly 120 million people were displaced worldwide. This is a number never seen before. Amid intensified conflict, there was a 72% increase in civilian casualties between 2012 and 2013. The period from 2022 to 2023 also underscores the urgent need for peacebuilding and conflict resolution.
  3. Work's strength: Massive investments and effective development partnerships are urgently needed to drive solutions to development issues in the areas of food, energy, social protection, digital connectivity and more.
