Konami has released its first major update for TMNT: The Cowabunga Collection which brings several improvements and fixes to a collection of 13 games.
Increased online functionality is the main feature of the update, as Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 4: Turtles in Time for Super Nintendo gets full multiplayer. Konami also announced that TMNT 3: The Manhattan Project will get an online mode in a future update.
This update otherwise includes customizable lobby sizes for arcade games and an auto frame delay option to adjust input lag depending on the number of players. Arcade Stick support has also been added on both PlayStation and Xbox.

- Main menu icon changed to box art. (transfer)
- PS4 arcade controller is now supported. PS4 (PS5) joystick support is now implemented
- Xbox arcade stick is now supported. Xbox joystick support (XB1/XSX) is now implemented
- When creating an online lobby, the player can now set the size of the lobby for the two arcade games. The host can limit it to 2, 3 or 4 players
- When creating an online lobby, the player can now set the frame delay to “Auto”. When this is set, the input lag is adjusted according to the number of players
- A new improvement has been added to the SNES and Super Famicom TMNT: Tournament Fighters. Ultimate-Attacks can now be enabled in Story Mode ON/OFF
- A new improvement has been added to Super Famicom TMNT: Tournament Fighters. Group Mode can now be enabled on/off. (Only available in the Japanese version)
- A new improvement has been added to Arcade US/JP Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. The number of lives per coin can be adjusted from 1-5
- A new improvement has been added to the Arcade US Turtles game just in time. The number of lives per coin can be adjusted from 1 to 8
- A new improvement has been added to Arcade US/JP Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Difficulty can be adjusted
- A new improvement has been added to the Arcade US Turtles game just in time. Difficulty can be adjusted
- A new improvement has been added to the Arcade US Turtles game just in time. Game Loop can now be turned on/off
- During playback, the game will restart from the beginning after the credits
- Added new button action to “Arcade US/JP TMNT”, “Arcade US Turtles in Time”, “SNES/Super Famicom Turtles in Time” and “Genesis/MegaDrive Hyperstone Heist”
- Players can now set a button to “Private”. This button presses “attack” and “jump” together to make it easier to perform special attacks
- A new color enhancement has been added to all Game Boy games. GBC ON/OFF mode added
- A new “Color Palette” option has been added to the Pause menu for all Game Boy games
- In addition to other filters, players can choose from 4 color palettes, 1. Black and white, 2. Game Boy green, 3. Game Boy Pocket green, 4. Game Boy Light blue
- Sound for different games and modified main menu
- Additional pages for NES Tournament Fighters and GEN Tournament Fighters have been added to the Strategy Guide
- An additional page for GEN Tournament Fighters and GEN Hyperstone Heist has been added to the Strategy Guide.
