It’s instant! When people wondered if (G)I-DLE’s recent performance was too similar to BLACKPINK’s, many suspected it was intentional. “copy”
A clip from (G)I-DLE’s performance at Jingle Ball LA, which featured many of the girl group’s hit songs. The members appeared in powerful black clothing. But it turns out that K-Pop fans couldn’t help but think that (G)I-DLE looked reminiscent of BLACKPINK. Although the group has 5 members while BLACKPINK has 4, with their visual presentation they also cannot avoid comparisons to YG’s world-class girl groups.

What’s more, (G)I-DLE’s Jingle Ball LA stage was accused of copying the famous intro to BLACKPINK’s “How You Like That” at Coachella.
(G)I-DLE’s leader Soyeon took on the task of getting the crowd excited with “What’s Up Jingle Ball, it’s (G)I-DLE,” which sounded similar in tone and style to Jen’s phrase. I get to say “Let me hear you scream” on stage at Coachella a lot.
