Ubisoft Subscription service will arrive on September 6th . After a delay of about a year, the guitar learning platform will be available on PC exclusively through . With 5,000 songs available at lunch, including tunes from Alicia Keys, The Clash, and Santana, Ubisoft claims that Rocksmith+ will feature “the largest catalog of official songs ever offered on a music learning service.” Additionally, the company has pledged to add “millions” of more tracks in the future.
If you played an earlier version of Rocksmith or participated in the closed beta, you can take advantage of the loyalty pricing. Sign up for three months in advance and you’ll get one month free. You can also pay up front for a year of service and Ubisoft will give you an extra three months for free. Subscriptions for one, three, and 12 months are priced at $15, $40, and $100 per relevant billing period.
You’ll need a way to connect an electric, acoustic, or bass guitar to your computer. Your first option is to download the Rocksmith Plus Connect app on your iOS or Android device. It will use your phone’s built-in microphone to detect gameplay. Alternatively, you can use a Rocksmith Real Tone cable from Ubisoft to connect your device. The advantage that the latter option provides is that you can add effects to your gameplay. Ubisoft notes that it is also possible to use a third-party audio interface, but not every one of them will work and the company will not provide you with technical support in this case.
Notably, Ubisoft did not mention the previously announced PlayStation and Xbox versions of Rocksmith+. However, he notes that the mobile version will arrive this fall.
