TOLEDO, Spain (Reuters) – Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba on Thursday criticized critics of Kiev’s tactics in its counterattack on the Russian invasion, saying they were spitting in the face of Ukrainian soldiers and they should “be silent.”
“Criticizing the slow pace of the counterattack means spitting in the face of the Ukrainian soldier who sacrifices his life every day, advancing and liberating kilometer after kilometer of Ukrainian territory,” Kuleba told reporters. Meeting of European Union foreign ministers in Toledo, Spain
Last week, the New York Times quoted American and other Western officials as saying that the attack had achieved limited progress because Ukraine had too many forces in the wrong places.
“I advise all critics to shut up and come to Ukraine and try to free one square centimeter themselves,” Coleba said, standing next to Spanish Foreign Minister Jose Manuel Albarez.
