US President Joe Biden announced in a statement on Monday that he has passed legislation allowing the declassification of documents related to the origins of the Covid-19 pandemic, which originated in China.

“To make sure we can better prevent future epidemics, we need to get to the bottom of the origins of the Covid-19 pandemic,” Biden said. “My administration will declassify and release as much information as possible,” the president vowed, while respecting “national security.”
