The hurricane caused significant property damage in this medium-sized town in northern Rhine-Westphalia, which was severely affected by the storm that is currently crossing Germany and began after unusually high temperatures during the season.
A spokesman for the fire department said the city of Lipstot, about 30 kilometers away, may also have been hit by the hurricane.
The roofs were torn
