E-sports is a combination of the words electronic and e-sports, and is used to refer to competitive sports that use gaming as a deciding factor. The games we are most familiar with are games like Valorant, CS2, Dota2, etc. But what kind of game should we call E-Sports? Seriously, E-Sports is not a type of game, but rather a game that competes on a big stage, like games like The-Sims or Farming Simulator, which also have competitions. Why are these games not counted among e-sports games?
Because most e-sports games are competitive games that developers want to push into large annual competitions such as League Of Legends’ World Champion Ships competition, EVO, which organizes fighting game competitions every year, the Overwatch World Cup, and others.
The teams that will participate will be from different clubs. Instead of country representatives like T1, Gen G teams are typically made up of multiple sponsors. This is most commonly observed when competing in eSports, and thus, games that are considered eSports games are games that were created primarily for competition (thus games that are in other categories but are competitive do not count).
